ABSTRACTS AND PRESENTATIONS

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PROCESS 

22 JANUARY 2026 | Abstract Submissions Open

Authors are invited to submit a short abstract (max. 250 words). All abstracts must be submitted through the conference presentation portal - accessed by clicking on the 'Submit Abstract' button above -  the abstract should reflect the conference theme ‘and now for something completely different’.

 

15 MAY 2026 | Abstract Submissions Close

12 JUNE 2026 | Authors Notified of Abstract Status, following review

​

  • Presenting Authors should register to attend the conference, once their abstract has been accepted.  Completing registration by 7 August will ensure the early registration discount is applied.

  • All accepted abstracts are required to be developed into a full conference paper for presentation.

  • Authors will upload their full paper through the Presentation Portal - the link back to your portal can be found in your acceptance email.

  • Please note: all short abstracts will be printed in the conference handbook and all full papers will be available to delegates electronically.

31 JULY 2024 | Peer-Reviewed Papers Due

All Peer-reviewed Papers must be submitted by Friday 31 July.  

  • The full paper should be between 2 - 10 pages long and should follow the instructions for layout and format provided by the Full Paper Template. All authors must use the Full Paper Template to format their final paper.

  • Final full papers should be saved as a word document (surnameFINAL.doc(x) file)

  • Authors will upload their full paper through the Presentation Portal - the link back to your portal will be available in your acceptance email.

7 AUGUST 2026 | Presenters Must be Registered for Conference

 

4 SEPTEMBER 2026 | Non-Peer-Reviewed Papers Due

Non Peer-Reviewed papers must be submitted by 4 September.

  • The full paper should be between 2- 10 pages long and should follow the instructions for layout and format provided by the Full Paper Template. All authors must use the Full Paper Template to format their final paper.

  • Final full papers should be saved as a word document (surnameFINAL.doc(x) file)

  • Authors will upload their full paper through the Presentation Portal - the link back to your portal can be found in your acceptance email.

Harry Clark Prize

We are very pleased to announce that the Harry Clark Prize will be awarded to the best Room Acoustics paper and presentation at this year’s ASNZ Conference in Tauranga.

 

The prize will be $1,000 to the paper’s author(s). We are very grateful to the Marshall Day Acoustics Research & Development Trust for funding this award.

 

Papers submitted to the ‘Room Acoustics’ theme/paper category in the submission portal, will be considered for this award.

The Acoustics 2026 Organising Committee

CONDITIONS OF SUBMISSION

  • At least one author must present this work in person at the conference.

  • The presenting author will be required to register for the Conference to ensure their abstract(s) is included in the final programme. The deadline for presenting author registration is 7 August 2026. Similarly, no speaker fee is paid to authors or presenters.

  • It is the responsibility of the submitting author to ensure the accuracy of the content, spelling, grammar and formatting of the abstract, as it will be published as it is submitted.

  • Please note that you are required to submit a full paper in order to present at the conference

  • By submitting an abstract, you grant the Organising Committee permission to publish the abstract in the Conference proceedings in hard copy and/or electronic format.
